Was wondering if there’s a way we can export a static mesh’s reference path alongside the geometry, in order to have access to it in other 3D programs. I’m aware we can manually copy it from the content browser, but if we’re dealing with large amounts of assets it becomes impractical.
The reason I’m asking, is I want to setup a bluetility that exports a specific list of assets with their object references, that I can then import into Houdini to place in the environment, before exporting the instance point cloud back to UE, hence the need for object references.
Edit: I’ve tested FBX, as well as all USD file formats, none had the object reference stored.
