Export Marketplace Animations from UE4 to Maya

Heya there,

I’ve been considering purchasing one of the animation packs, specifically Movement Animset Pro.

My issue is that if I am going to purchase this pack I need to be able to tweak the animations to suit the purpose I’ll be using them for. An example would be adjusting the upper body for the running animations to include “holding a spear/bow/axe + shield” or so on.

How ever to do that I need to be able to import the motion on top of a character created with the Maya animation/riggin toolkit to be able to do so, so the question is can I import animations into Maya from UE4?

Yes. You can import animations to Maya using a FBX from the engine. You can also repose the character in the engine to grip what ever you need for your character to hold or use motion builder to make an animation layer offset if it is a simple change.
