This is my scenario:
I have a larger scene with defined (but NOT surveyed) Control Points in a geo-referenced (by laserscan) scene.
I created an independent smaller scene with some of those CPs included.
Now I want to use the coordinates of the old CPs for the new scene to function as Ground Control Points.
Is there any way to achieve that?
I was hoping that if I turn the CPs into GCPs in the old project and then export them as GCPs, I could import them into the new scene with the CPs already turned into GCPs and they would take on the coordinates of the old ones.
But that does not seem to work since the newly created GCPs only have 0,0,0 as coordinates.
The next best way would be to be able to export coordinates of CPs (not GCPs since they have no target coordinates) so that I can copy-paste them.
BTW, this is one good example for being able to run several instances of the program.
Several instances simultaneously?
Is it possible to export coordinates of already defindes Control Points (in a geo-referenced scene) so that I can use them to copy paste the coordinates into already existing Control Points (so that I can use those as Ground Control Points?
Of course it would be even better to be able to be able to turn the target Control Points into GCPs and then import the expo
Hi Götz
take a look at the ALIGNMENT ribbon, in its EXPORT part you can see the CONTROL POINTS button. Press it to export GCPs with all required info as a CSV file with a proper format.
Hi Wishgranter,
Thank you (for the 100th time)!
Is there a difference between the export sections in Workflow and Alignment?
And how do I export specific info and how do I change formatting of a cvs file???
When I export, I cannont change anything but just confirm.
Doing that, it spits out point names followed by “0 0 0” because the GSPs are not “real”.
What I would need is the values of “actual position”.
I added a screenshot, maybe that helps…
Just found something in the help menu.
So maybe I can figure it out…
Hi Götz
If you need, post where you are stuck and we will help you solve it.
Cheers!
I looked at the controlpoints.xml and the according help section.
But it also only seems to export the “should be” coordinates of the GCPs and not “actual position”.
I guess by formatting you meant using the xml?
So is there any way to export “actual position”?

Hello Gotz,
export of GCP coordinates is there few months already.
Export button was removed from the ribbon and it will be back in the next release.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi Kruzma,
thanks for the heads up!
So the GSP Export would include both coordinates, as is and as should?
