Export Contours to DXF

Hi

I am trying to export my contours line created in RealityCapture (where they are perfect) to DXF. When i open the DXF in plan, all is perfect, but when i check in elevation the space between contour line is way to hight. I tryed a lot of stuff and it always give me the same result.

Here is an example

Elevation

And here is my coordinate setting

The capture was done with a drone DJI, so each picture was geolocated.

Hi @Pikomaniac
By elevation do you mean the side view?
The problem is that the used coordinate system is in degrees and the height are in meters. So, during importing the CAD application consider the Lat/Lon coordinates as XY, therefore there is this difference. You need to use other output coordinate system which works in meters.

Thanks a lot, can you point me toward a system like this please ?

Any UTM system should work like that. You just need to use the one from your location.
Or you can try to open those contours in GIS system.

I tryed 5 diffenrent UTM for my output files, and i still have the same probleme

OK, I am sorry for misleading information.
You need to use this coordinate system during creation process of the ortho:

Then you can see the coordinates in meter and it is scaled properly in CAD:

Hi there,

I’m lookning for some advice regarding the export of contours. The problem is that they don’t export. Or show something absurd lik 87000 and above seconds, which is almost a month.
I have set the minimum export lenght to 1m, but still no change.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @btabov

How long are you waiting for the export?

One time i left it for half a day ~12hours. This model was done in 2870 seconds.

What were your settings to create the contours?

Can you try to create a smaller ortho/DEM and create the contours there? Also, is the other format working for you?

I will try with smaller ortho. Maybe I have to find the middle ground between high quality photo and fast contour export.

Is it posible to be something from the PC’s hardware? The GPU is RTX 2060plus. If this info helps in any matter.

It could be related to the HW, but not sure if it is connected to GPU directly (the export)
