Export a SkeletalMesh from UE4 and open in Blender for some poly editing/a bit of Bone-weight adj

So how can i do that?

Everytime i export from UE4 and try to open up the file in Blender, the bones all stick out in one direction and are looking too big. Also im pretty sure (haven’t tried because loading looked weird), if i try to export it again in FBX, that the mesh would be all screwed up? So what do people do if they just want to export a skeletal mesh, make some adjustments to some polygons, maybe add some and redo a bit of bone weights.

The models i want to do this with, are marketplace assets, so they’re not my own, so i don’t have the actual source files for them… hence the question… Hope someone can help me out on this one.
