Exploded mesh on import

I recently imported a skeletal mesh I made in Blender into UE4, only to end up with a mesh that looks like this after import:


I used the same export settings as in this thread: Support Stream – Blender Animation & UE4 – Jan. 13th, 2015 - Announcements - Unreal Engine Forums

The only parts that seem to be correctly aligned are those that are rigged directly to the armature instead of using bone parenting; I used bone parenting for the mechanical parts so they wouldn’t deform when spinning, but would still follow the movements of the bones. I have applied rotation on all parts of the mesh and the armature, so at this point I’m not sure what could cause this problem.
