Experimental Update to the Homebar

I think this could be a very exciting and worthwhile way for FNC devs to feel rewarded for their hard work in the space. And would give devs more of a reason to submit to Epic’s Picks.

Moving forward will all EP maps have a spot in homebar during their week in the row? Or does each map have to hit a certain threshold in order to be placed there? Because going off of the previous map that was added from EP to homebar, it did not see large ccu until AFTER it was featured in homebar. Any time I saw the row in passing the ccu it was pulling was much smaller than other experiences in the row. But the ones with higher ccu never were filtered into the homebar. If there are other metrics in play for how/why a map would be able to be featured in homebar I think we would need to know more specifics to be able to say if it’s fair for all in EP.

Epic’s Picks row should be moved upwards in the rows of placement as well. Being 10 rows down in discover is quite unacceptable for something that is supposed to showcase the best islands handpicked by Epic staff. These more innovative experiences are being drown out by hundreds of copy paste combat maps. These combat modes may be what player base prefers in the moment, but I think this truly is because its HARD to find anything else with the current setup. These are all funneled to the top of discover and when players are looking for a quick experience to jump into, they will find it difficult to come across anything other than combat in the top 4 to 6 rows. Only perpetuating the problem of not bringing innovation to the space. It’s fueling the clickbait money grabs and racist content to be pumped out at much higher numbers.
