Exif data not being used?

Hi,

I’m trying to align about 835 photos as one model of small room. All photos were taken with Sony Nex-6 at 25 mm focal length and other settings also locked. I’ve had an “Exif warning” on all images since I imported, but I ignored it and continued with alignment. It’s been a few hours now, spread out over of a few days, of adding control points and merging components, but it’s hard. Part of that is due to the image quality; the ISO is high and the exposure is low in order to have a small FOV and reduce lens distortion.

Anyway, I notice now that all cameras are getting the FOV re-calibrated, even though this should be written in Exif. Some cameras are ludicrously placed outside the room with a tele-lens  See screenshot http://imgur.com/a/WOVz3

What is the Exif warning and how can I get RealityCapture to resepect the Exif data? This also happens to original JPEG’s coming from the camera.

Hi Simon
the yellow triangle is just information that the camera + its sensor is NOT in the database. and we add only the "troublemakers " there as exif is NOT mandatory.

First try to align say 50-100 images, and then align them, then add new ones. This way you can eventually find the troublemakers.
But I believe your scanned room is a GOOD candidate for photogrammetry - enough areas with features to detect etc.

Can you post a screenshot of the overall scene so that I can get the idea what can be done here ?
