I wanted to write and share my point on collaboration skins being locked away forever. Personally I feel they should be some way accessible to everyone. Please allow me to explain my points, I want to start by saying I do understand the point where people feel a sense of achievement and award from these skins but I believe It’s unfair for some people not to ever be able to play as their favorite characters because they missed the Battle Pass or just wasn’t able to purchase it at the time.
Of-course there are some Battle Pass collaboration skins that I’ve missed out on myself which feels terrible, but on the other hand even the ones I did manage to get I wouldn’t mind returning to the game whether it’s to the item shop or were achievable some other way. I’ve seen over developers introduce a feature where older Battle Passes were purchasable and players could work their way through them by equipping the Battle Pass they’d like their XP to go towards. I think this idea is revolutionary and can make everyone happy, you still have to work hard for the skins and you still get that sense of achievement/exclusivity rather than just outright purchasing the skin the store.
With Disney and Marvel being so massive and loved by so many I think letting the people play as what they love and creating extraordinary memories with their friends the way they want to would accelerate the game into being it’s best possible format. I hope you’ll give some thought on this perspective that is shared by so many when developing the future of Fortnite, thank you.
