Excessive Hard Drive Space

My son is using this software to make a video game. It is currently using 60-70 GB of my computer hard drive. This seems excessive.

Is this normal? Is there a way to remove aspects of this “Unreal Engine” to free up some of my hard drive space?

Please help.

Whenever you download a new version of the engine it will still store the old versions that you have installed, you can open the Epic Games Launcher and go to the Unreal Engine 4 section and see what versions of the engine are installed and remove the ones that aren’t being used.
Also, if you download anything from the Marketplace (including free content) then that content will be stored in the Vault section of the launcher and you can remove it from there as well if you aren’t using it.
Projects also auto-save while you’re working which keeps several older copies of what you’re working on, you can delete any auto saves in the project folder, that will depend on where it is set to save projects.
