Everything about HLODs and World Partition

Can PLEASE someone explain to me or send me a tutorial on how HLODs work in World Partition? there are no updated resources to read through!
Currently i want to create a 20x20km Map. When i try to generate HLODs the HLOD building just stops after some time and only about half of my tiles actually have HLODs.

so now here are some questions:

  1. What settings should i use for HLODs? Instanced, Merged, Simplified etc…
  2. What is the maximum supported size for HLOD? my map with 20x20 km has a resolution of 8129x8129 with a total of 1024 Tiles.

I have the same situation, only HLODS are created, but they are empty, it was also so that HLODS are created but in fragments, and the terrain turned out to be in holes, respectively, there is no fake relief, I don’t understand how it works at all, I assume that there is not enough RAM or it’s just poorly optimized. I did it according to this lesson.
