I am a seller on the FAB marketplace. It seems that someone once used my Google account to illegally access my email, resulting in the name on my Hyperwallet account not matching my own. I contacted the Fab team through submitting a ticket and by email, but was told that I must give up my current Epic account and create a new one, and that my already published products cannot be transferred. I want to clarify that, in addition to being a seller on the FAB marketplace, I am also a buyer and a game developer. My Epic account has purchased nearly ten thousand dollars worth of assets on the FAB marketplace, and asking me to give up my account feels like a very rude request.
Hey I’m not sure what you asked them for, but it kinda sounds like from their response that they thought you might be asking for them to transfer ownership of everything from one account to another.
I’d try asking them for help with security management instead and give them more details on the incident with google(epic can’t control googles systems, but they can control their side of login), and see if you can ask them what should be done so your assets and publishing rights and customers are best served without disruption.
I’d also try to resolve the Gmail incident, google usually forces accounts to create recovery and security methods and they may have a support ticket system you can use for Gmail.
Thank you very much for your reply. When I tried to activate my Hyperwallet account, I found that it had already been activated. After resetting the password and logging in, I found that the legal name was not mine. I requested the FAB team to change the legal name, but they did not allow me to modify it, believing that I had the tendency to trade with my own account.
During the communication process, they constantly used discriminatory and insulting language, putting all the blame on the user to avoid their own risks and responsibilities, without providing a convenient solution for the user. They didn’t even show any willingness to let me provide proof documents to verify the ownership of my account.
This will result in my inability to receive several payments that I am entitled to, and the funds will be returned overdue, causing losses to my personal property.
Therefore, I advise everyone not to sell anything on the platform, as personal property safety cannot be guaranteed. If they cannot solve the problem, they will target the people who raise the problem.
