Every Ending is a New Beginning

Hello everyone!
I’m excited to share my latest Unreal Engine project with you.
This was my first time experimenting with ray tracing, and I’m truly amazed by the level of quality that UE5 can deliver. I hope you enjoy the results!

You can find a more in depth breakdown on my ARTSTATION: ArtStation - Nibir Khan (bbgzla)

“Every Ending is a New Beginning” is a 3D environment project that tells the story of a young student preparing to leave her hometown in rural Japan to study abroad. Set at an old, weathered bus stop at the beginning of autumn, the scene captures the quiet moments before a life changing journey. Her suitcase rests by the bench, surrounded by familiar details a vending machine, a payphone, fallen leaves all symbols of a life she’s about to leave behind. This project reflects the bittersweet nature of change: the sadness of parting, the warmth of memories, and the quiet hope of starting anew.

Hey there @bbgzla,

Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far

Just wanted to pop in and say this is genuinely beautiful. The warmth that is brought in by all the wooden furniture pieces and (of course!) those fall tree colors. Truly stunning.

If you don’t mind me asking, how long did this take you to create?

@PresumptivePanda Thank you for for the compliment, really appreciate it. It took me 4 months for the entire project, 5 if you count renders and breakdown. I decided to really take my time and understand camera work as well as different rendering techniques, for both the environment rendering in UE as well as prop and materials rendering in Marmoset.
