I’ve recently joined the forum and I have been watching tutorials and some of them have an avoidance to casting and event tick?
How bad are they really? For instance, if your main player is always going to be loaded along with the animation blueprints, why is casting bad in this example?

OR

Would it depend on the game you are making? A tennis game vs a multiplayer fps vs a 2d shoot-em up? Single player vs multiplayer? Music games vs typing games?

How would an event tick for example make the above games problematic to play?
