Event Blueprint Update Animation is not executing


My event blueprint update animation is not flowing. Is there a way to find out what is causing this issue? Any help to the finish line with this one is GREATLY appreciated, thank you!


Better question would be, does the first nodes execution have to fire with the color orange?

Is the right object to debug selected?

After selecting the proper animbp and with editor playing it shows all of the execution pins firing orange through the end of the sequence.

Is this an issue? I noticed other event graphs with the update animation are always firing orange, even when editor isn’t playing.
