Where is the begin play event located?
Level blueprint?
Actor?
Other?

Do you perhaps have a different game mode set in your world settings that overrides the class that has begin play?

It seems it was a one-time mistake, now everything seems to be fine.

just for your information, make sure the child class call the parent BeginPlay
