Evaluating Sales Performance of Products in Non-UE5 Formats

Hello everyone!

I would like to open a discussion about the sales performance of products in formats other than the UE5 engine in our marketplace. We know that on this platform, we can sell 3D models in various formats, such as (.blend, FBX, among others). However, it is evident that there is a priority for content packages focused on the Unreal Engine.

The purpose of this forum is for us to share our experiences selling products in more general formats, like the ones mentioned earlier. Have you had success selling in these formats? Is there any opportunity to be profitable in this niche?

For context, I am an old-time seller from the previous Epic marketplace, and I have content packages for sale focused on the UE4/5 engine. However, I have recently started publishing packages only in .blend and FBX formats, and so far, I have not received a single sale for these packages compared to the ones in UE format.

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Hey there @WhitmanAndOlbert! Welcome back to the community! Since Fab is a new platform (at least for hosting things outside of UE), user base for other engines/formats will likely increase over time. My personal assets have had minor grown with the changes to the platform, however it will take some time and larger names to host their work on the platform to pick up steam faster.
