EU4Game.pdb not found. Lounch failed error

Hello, when i try to build my project (even if it’s empty) i always get build failed error “PackagingResults:Error: Error Launch failed! Unknown Error”.

The error log says there is no EU4Game.pdb file in E:\Epic Games\4.12\Engine\Binaries\Win64\EU4Game.pdb. So it can not copy this file into my game. How to solve this problem?

Hello Stasgar,

The first couple of things to check when a file is failing to be copied is if the source file exists and if there’s a file it’s trying to overwrite that is set to readonly. Can you check to see if you can find the file at the directory listed? If that isn’t present, try verifying your engine installation. If it is, then see if there is already a file in the directory that it’s trying to copy to that would need to be overridden. If it’s present, check to see if it is set to Read Only. This would stop it from being overwritten.
