What we have so far:
So far we have a server completed and working, which is hosted on a VPS. The client can be logged into and stores some information. Currently players may queue for a match and find a match. They are taken to a hero select screen where they may choose a hero. There is currently multiplayer chat. After choosing the hero the players will be transported to the game map. We more or less have the skeleton for the game nearly completed, so now we need to fill it in.
We also have a good amount of artwork which has been created for the game and can be used as references or inspiration.

**Why royalties? **
The development of this game has been completely privately funded by myself so far. So I simply do not have the resources to pay for everything. My goal is to get the game to a playable state and then try to raise funds to polish it via crowd funding.

I’m an experienced programmer with 2D development and this feels like it would be a good start for 3D work.

There is something that stood out to me though. You stated pay would be in royalties, which is fine, but what about monies you earn through crowd funding? It seems right to use crowd funding money to help pay your current workers rather than waiting for profits to roll in.

Can you please post a video of your current work? Thank you.

That is what I will most likely do. However a successful crowd funding is not guaranteed. I left it ambiguous so that I wouldn’t make it seem like if the crowd funding wasn’t successful no one would get paid. Regardless of the success of the crowd funding I plan to see this project through.

I will post a video and screen shots in a few.

Thank you for your interest.

EDIT: I have added a video to the ESVU website which showcases what we currently have.

I am interested but I do wonder how you plan on handling the actual fighting as most fighting games require a locked camera, and 1st person wouldn’t really work (just my opinion) in a game based on dancing around the battle field. Also, crowd funding will throw money at anything that looks pretty. It’s just the sad truth. A project could be complete garbage but if it’s backed by good art you’ll receive thousands upon thousands of dollars in support.

Why don’t you shoot me an email and we can discuss things in more detail.
