Hello!
Recently, I’ve been getting this error when the engine autosaves in UT4 Editor:
“Failed to save the map. The filename ‘C:/Users//Documents/UnrealTournament/Saved/Autosaves/Game/DM-Helix_Auto1.umap’ is not within the game or engine content folders found in ‘C:/Program Files/Epic Games/UnrealTournamentEditor/’.”
I have tried moving the map file to a different location, and uninstalling and reinstalling UT4 editor. Any help for solving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Last time I checked, there was no way we could do that. Wherever you install your project is where the autosave will take place.
Mohawk,
Give this a try. When looking at the world via the editor, click on File, then Click on Save As.
Choose a directory inside the Content folder to save the level, and save it.
Then click on Edit, and click on Edit Project Settings, from there click on Maps and Modes. Switch the default level to load, and the default level for the editor to load, to the map you just saved.
Hopefully this will do it for you.

Hello ,
Unfortunately this didn’t work. I still receive the error when the map attempts to autosave, but can still save normally. I’ve resorted to manually saving every time I receive the autosave error for the time being.
