Error trying to open Windows project using MacOS

I tried to open a simple project I got from source control. Everybody else is using Windows, I’m on a Mac.
When I double-click the project file it says it has the re-compile everything. That goes well, but at a later point I get this error:

Notice the weird path beginning.

Then the Editor opens but I can’t see any files in the Content Browser. The whole folder structure is there with their subfolders, but no files. The only file I can see is a .h in a Public folder.

I can see all the files in Finder. We are all using Unreal 4.25.1.

Try to get the project in a zip folder from a windows to your mac.
