Error! No Version Information

link textI have read all the forum posts and wiki help pages about this issue and trying to get it fixed. I have attached DxDiag and The Launcher Logslink text

Uploaded Both attachments, I’m currently at my UNI using the UNI’s Private Network with Proxies and such but i get the same error from my home network

Hi stagdage,

You said that you tried the troubleshooting steps, did you try them on both the UNI machine and your home machine? Which machine is the dxdiag and log files for?

As far as the UNI machine goes, if you are behind a proxy you will need the IT department to add an exception in for epicgames.com. When it comes to proxies there is no getting around that.

Hi TJ,

Yes, im not using a UNI computer rather my laptop on a UNI network so the DXDIAG is frop my personal laptop and yes i have tried all the steps on both UNI and home Networks

Hi stagdage,

I’ve taken a look at the launcher log file you’ve provided, and it indicates that your machine is not able to connect to our authorization server.

To rephrase TJ’s question slightly, was the launcher log you provided made when you were on your uni’s network, or at home?

With the university network, is it possible you can raise a request with your IT department to add a proxy exception for *.epicgames.com?

Also, please can you tell me what you see when you visit https://account-public-service-prod03.ol.epicgames.com/account/api/version in your browser?

Hi stagdage,

Could you try posting the following link in your web browser of choice and let us know what it says, please.

https://launcher-public-service-prod06.ol.epicgames.com/launcher/api/version

Thanks

Andrew

Here is the message

{
“errorCode” : “errors.com.epicgames.common.authentication.authentication_failed”,
“errorMessage” : “Authentication failed for /api/public/assets/Windows/x/UnrealEngineLauncher”,
“messageVars” : [ “/api/public/assets/Windows/x/UnrealEngineLauncher” ],
“numericErrorCode” : 1032,
“originatingService” : “launcher”
}

Is that on a UNI network or home, and can you confirm you currently get ‘no version information’ on that network too?

Andrew
