Import the file format “OBJ” and get an error if you continue impor and repeatedly press the “skip”, the import takes place. And had very large and geometrically complex objects import is not executed.
In the version of UE-4.9.2 no such problem.

A workaround until we found a fix for this will be to not use unicode character in your file. The autodesk fbx sdk is suppose to support utf-8 character, but there is a bug with the obj reader.
It’s listed as “In Progress” so hopefully something can be done soon. If a fix is submitted soon, it would be for 4.12 once that comes out and not 4.11 since it’s already been branched.
For the moment try using ’ workaround until we can get this resolved.
