Anytime I try to create a project with UE4, it stuck in 96% when loading the project. I just installed UE4 in this computer, MacBookPro mid 2015 16GB RAM Corei7.
I can create a project in UE4 4.12.5 but I am unable in the new release, 4.13, i guess is a bug, for the new release.
Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this on my end.
- What steps are you taking to recreate this on your end?
- Does this occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project?
- Do you get a crash log or callstack that I can look at?
Please keep in mind for the future that, if you have a bug that you want to report, it is best to post that in the Bug Reports section so we can assist you more in depth. I’ve moved both posts into the Bug Reports section.
Thank you, pardon me, I posted in the wrong session.
The steps are, launch UE4 4.13 in my Mac, in the Editor, create a project. The project generation get freeze in 96%. Always get freeze, but there was one time, it shown me the error log, I click send to EpicGames. But just was that time, i could now read the content of the error, because clicked send.
The best i can get is the crash report from the system.
Can you show me your computer specs? You can find this by going to the Apple Icon>About this Mac>More Info.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the editor. Does doing this allow you to create projects?
Hi, no, it doesn’t, I already tried that, uninstalled 4.13 and reinstalled. I am currently using 4.12.5, what works better. I can’t create projects, i can’t load projects with 4.13.
Any update about this?
I can’t open any .uproject in 4.13, I can do all in 4.12.5
Please give us up to 4 days to post before bumping a thread. This clutters the answerhub and makes it more difficult for us to assist. If after 4 days you have not heard anything, please feel free to bump a thread once.
Having said this, I have not been able to reproduce this on my end. Are you able to open a project from it’s .uproject instead of from the launcher?
Are you getting any errors or warnings? What specifically do you see before the crash occurs?
Nothing, always get stuck in 96%, freezing, instead the loading … dots are . So then after some time, the system kill the process. Just can get that log I posted some time ago.
I apologize for the miscommunication. What I mean is, does it even open the create project window or do you not get that far, it only opens the splash icon that shows it loading and absolutely nothing else?
It open the first screen to create a new project or to load a project.
When creating or loading, is when freeze and crash. I will add when I create a new project it crash, when i open the editor again, the project is there created, but can’t load it. just 96%.
Can you send me a copy of the project that you created? You can find it in your \Unreal Projects\ folder
Last error report generating the project, no started content and a blank project:
Application Specific Information:
objc: Hash table corrupted. This is probably a memory error somewhere. (table at 0x7fff737abe10, buckets at 0x7fe682b8b800 (16 bytes), 32 buckets, 4 entries, 0 tombstones, data 0xffffffffffffffff 0xffffffffffffffff 0xffffffffffffffff 0xffffffffffffffff)link text
Unfortunately even with the test project I have not been able to reproduce this on my end. The memory error you are getting makes me think you may have corrupted RAM or another hardware issue. Have you taken your PC to a repair specialist to see if there is a hardware related error?
Hi, , I just upgraded the OS to El Capitan, 10.11.6 version.
Now I can create a project, or load a project in 4.13.
But after the upgrade, in both now, 4.13 and 4.12.5, i am getting some actors, flicking in the viewport, for example the start player position, the lights, the atmospheric fog, etc. Also when I select some actor the axis arrows to move the object are also flicking.
