Error after installation - Lincense Activation

Hi, 

after installing the demo version I get the following error message on my main computer:

 

"Activate RealityCapture
An error has occurred, please restart the application.

RealityCapture - Lincense Activation
An error has occured during the license activation. Please re-run the aplication again and if the problem persists, contact our support."

 

On my replacement computer the installation works without problems. Has anyone been able to solve the same problem?

 

OS:
Microsoft Windows 10 Home

HW:
Intel Xeon CPU E5-2667 v3
NVIDIA Quadro P5000
12 GB RAM

The computer runs on the Remote Desktop shadow.tech (https://shadow.tech/dede/technology). For this reason, the Internet connection cannot be disconnected.

can you please post your OS and HW specifications? Are you activating the license on a virtual machine?

we are trying to reproduce that behavior on our side so that we will be able to define the exact source of the problem. Thank you for your understanding.

The Steam Demo displays a similar error message: (Steam is running)

“Steam is not respondig. Please make sure Steam is running and click Try again.
An error has occurded during the license acitivation. Please re-run the application again and if the problem persists, contact our support.”

 I am trying to install a RC trial on a Shadow PC and after installing I have a error with the licence.

I know that the PC is a virtual machine.

We cannot repro this issue on our virtualization environment therefore could you please send us following information? 

  1. There have been few releases of Windows 10. Which version do you use? Could you please run msinfo.exe, click File>Save  or Export the information and send it to us ?
  2. The other computer where the Capturing reality application licensing work is the physical machine or it runs also on shadow.tech  technology?

2.) The other machine is a physical machine. At Shadow Tech the problem with Capturing Reality seems to occur in general. The Shadow Tech support referred me to them.

technicians from Shadow technology were able to reproduce the same behavior on their side but we are still investigating the source of the problem. I will inform you as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your understanding.

This is still occurring. Is there an update? I would love tobe able to do the calculations on a remote computer.
