I have this building project and I need some cars driving in and out, I am using the Unreal market free cars from the City template. I drove the cars and using take recorder I made a sequence that I need, now when I put this sequence on my main timeline when play it always default to the car camera. I have other car collection that I bought and it does exactly the same no matter if I disable Auto posses, disable the Player or the camera auto poses, if I do all that then I get a point of view under the car.
I am adding the take recorder as an subsequence.
Anyone? I can’t believe I am the only person using Take recorder to make animated sequences with cars.
The issue is straightforward to repeat, place the car in your scene, record yourself driving, create another sequence, add a camera, a fix camera or with a different point of view than what you get from the car. Then insert the sequence from take a recorder and you’ll see the issue, the master sequence always will default to the car’s point of view.
IS there any Unreal developer reading this forum?
How can you contact a developer?
Youve prolly found a way around this by now.
But ive got it to work for me atleast, this might help others so…
here we go
After you’ve put the main camera(along with the camera cut) as well as the sequences/recordings of the cars into the master sequence.
From the master sequence, click into the recording of the car, It should have its own camera cuts and actor.
Unlock the recording so you can edit it.
Select the first frame, then change the camera cuts binding.
You will see the master sequence’s binding, Inside that you can select your main camera.
Basically itll affect the master sequence from bottom up.
Still not sure how to get the master sequence’s camera cuts to override the other sequences, but this works too.
Spent hours and nearly went crazy on this, im surprised there are only a couple posts about this exact thing. Anyways I can sleep peacefully now…
Edit-(Sometimes doing the first frame doesnt work
you might have to do it for another frame, and extend it to the first)
Oh just figured out nvm
You can just delete the tracks which you dont want
