How far into the installation process are you seeing this failure?
Also, could you post your dxdiag (system specs)?

The error occurs just moments after the installation begins. Just as it reaches the “downloading DirectX” (which I already have the latest version) part of the installation process.
My system specs are listed bellow:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Hewlett-Packard
AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics 1.90 GHz
8.00 GB RAM (7.45 GB usable)
64-bit Operating System
Pen Input Available

Make sure you at least have the Windows Service Pack 1 update. Then update your graphics driver to the latest (non-beta) version. Once you do that, try the installation again. If everything was already up to date, let me know.
