yes, no issues, I’ve also added the game to a different SSD drive.
but it doesn’t explain why half the game is fine, then once it downloads the other half, the first half becomes not ok and gets deleted. and then the other half is not ok anymore.
ok so let me explain this better
Game is 115Gb, we split this in two parts, part A is 50Gb and part B is 65Gb (not the exact precise numbers but just for me to explain what is going on. in reality the files are always the same and the size as you see in the screenshots)
It started by first checking all the game files (that were working) and then deleting part B.
Then it downloaded part B again.
Then it verified the files, got to 100%
Then it deleted part A. Yeap.
Downloaded part A again.
Then it verified the files, and you guess it, it deleted part B.
and then repeats.
So after two times it did this I’ve waited till it downloaded the entire 115 Gb files and I’ve stopped the verification before it got to 100%
I’ve copied all the files to an external drive.
Once it deleted the files as usual from the normal drive, I’ve place them back, nope, doesn’t want to recognize them. Still deletes them as usual.
I’ve then moved the files to a different drive in the computer and isntalled the game there. Nope, still the same thing.
This is obviously funny if you are not me that wasted several hundred Gb of bandwidth for this game. I should had bought the game on the rockstar launcher directly, GTAV works fine and downloads fine.
The blizzard launcher works, steam works, even uplay works. Not epic.
TLDR: launcher can’t resume downloads and it messes the hash calculations. Math is complex I assume for the devs. I know that myuself, except I’m not paid 500k a year.
So they have in my computer some key to encrypt the files/tag the files and when they download them they messed up the math so the math doesn’t match with what they have on the server.
