I’m from Russia, and this mistake is still haunting me (I’m writing on June 25). Are there any solutions to fix it?

All right, I have resolved the issue.
However, a new problem appeared soon.
I can no longer download games when the proxy software is running, as shown in the picture.
It’s like that EPIC duels with the proxy software every time. Only one can be alive. Only one can run normally.
I use v2fly-core as my proxy software and it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas?
I fix this,try this bat:
fix_epic_eos_restart_loop.bat (4.0 KB)
What should I do with it and how should I use it?
I’ve also been having this problem recently, and I just can’t seem to fix it. I’m not from Asia, but when my VPN is turned on, this problem occurs consistently.
Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience!
We have released a hotfix for the Epic Games Launcher that should address this error. However, if you continue using your VPN and are still experiencing this issue, it may not seem like anything has changed. Prior to the hotfix, the error was caused by an internal issue. With the hotfix in place, this issue may still be happening for some individuals, but the root cause has changed.
If you’re still experiencing this issue while using a VPN, please disable your VPN and try again. If it starts working after disabling your VPN, it is likely the VPN that is causing the issue.
If you continue to have issues regardless of whether the VPN is turned on or off, please contact Player Support for assistance. We’ll be happy to help!
Thank you for your help. Would it be possible to clarify what exactly caused the underlying issue?
Taking a step back, even if the VPN is triggering the issue, asking users to disable their VPN just to run the launcher is not a reasonable workaround. I use my VPN with all my other software without any problems; the Epic Games Launcher is the only application experiencing errors. This is a problem that should be resolved officially by Epic Games, rather than shifting the responsibility to the VPN software or expecting me to keep my VPN turned off.
Still happening after hotfix. If it is not the issue - this is probably intentional hardlock for VPN flag in OS. Becouse it started happening for everyone in this thread in the same time, i’m not experienced this behavior before June. Of course asking disable VPN for using launcher this not reasonable and unacceptable.
I’m using sing-box with TUN mode, not VPN, and Epic Games programs are not routed through the proxy, but I’m not able to use it anyway. This is really unfair, please fix this ASAP. It’s said “Epic online services unavailable”. This is not cool that some apps can scan my network without even notifying me. And more unfair that I can’t this app when I turn TUN mode. I don’t have this problem with any other apps
I can confirm that as soon as I enable TUN mode, Epic Games Launcher produce this “Epic online services unavailable” error over and over again. I can launch this app when TUN mode is disabled but as soon as I enable it, I receive this error again and unable to use the app

Hello!
Hotfix not working…
I’m use Throne sing-box client, and i’m make Split/Tunneling for this exe’s to send traffic direct without tunnel
EpicGamesLauncher.exe
EpicOnlineServicesHost.exe
EpicOnlineServicesUserHelper.exe
EpicWebHelper.exe
Sadly even this not working and i get EOS unavailable issues with restart loop. This started happening since 20 June, and i hope you resolve this issue and this not intentional blocking VPN users.
You proposal disable VPN for use Epic Launcher sound very unreasenable, do not send responsibility to VPN clients. I dont have any problems with software with VPN on my PC except your Epic Launcher
ese link de que es?
I also use Throne. EOS unavailable stopped appearing after I turned off the strict route in the TUN settings. For me, this is still a temporary option, because there is a risk of leaks.
Hey there
I’ve also have this problem, only fully disabling VPN service helps
But also gonna contact customers support of the client of mine
I have this problem too I can’t install any unreal plugins or vault projects. I’m not in russia or china and I’m NOT using a vpn.
I’m experiencing the same issue. I tested it on three different devices—two PCs and one laptop. All of them are running the latest version of Windows 10. On every device, the EOS service crashes with Error 77 after running for about one second. Two of those devices are completely clean, with no VPN or proxy configured, so this is definitely not a VPN-related issue. I tested EOS versions 5.3.0, 5.3.1, and the latest 5.4.0, but none of them fixed the problem.
Iam having the same issue and not using a VPN, i tried mutliple ways of clean uninstall and reinstall. nothing worked for me, have u found a solution?
