Hi guys! This is Connections, my and my brother’s first game.
The inspiration behind it was, mostly, ghibli movies so i tried to capture the art style and feel. There’s not a lot to it (we only had 3 days to make it) but i learned a lot in the process and this is just the first step =)
Connections is a solar punk, third person game where you have to complete missions and reconnect cities through a new technology, the wifi tree.

Hi again @Wes_Azevedo,
From your first time using UE to your first full project - congrats! I’m rather obsessed with the art style and relaxing atmosphere given from the music and general gameplay. What big lesson did you learn during development?

Thank you!
I think the big lesson was how to make the atmosphere more cozy and ghibli like inside a gameplay experience. I know how to do it in film or TV but to bring this to games was a little hard hahaha But i like to think that this was a good first step towards that.

Hey there @Wes_Azevedo ! Welcome to posting with us on the forums this year especially during the Epic Mega Jam!
Firstly, I absolutely adore that you’re going for a Ghibli style with this game and think you get pretty spot on while still maintaining your own look to it. I also adore that you are one of the many in a surge of solar punk games we’re seeing as of late. Solar punk is always very fun but tricky to do and I think you’ve managed to hit the nail on the head with Connections.
Despite having a limited time I think both you and your brother can be proud that you made a good hearted and fun game that is unique. I applaud you both and hope to see more from the two of you in the future!
