Since the epic games store doesnt have a implementation for microtransactions as far as I am aware, is it possible to have ingame purchases made via XSolla and still release in the Epic Games Store?
Hey there @N2funny
While Epic allows developers to utilize the payment processor of their choice on the Epic Games Store, there are restrictions that we place on the use of payment processors. Specifically, it is not permitted for your product to facilitate unlicensed money transmissions, transactions with individuals or entities restricted by governmental authorities, or facilitate or engage in illegal commercial activities or unlawful activities. Unfortunately, Epic cannot provide you with a legal determination about your product’s compliance with these provisions, so we recommend you consult with your attorney to determine if your product satisfies these requirements before submitting your product for consideration to the Epic Games Store.
Absolutely! If the Epic Games Store lacks a built-in system for microtransactions, you can still integrate XSolla’s payment platform to enable in-game purchases and release your game on the store. XSolla provides a robust solution for handling transactions, offering various payment methods and security measures.
By incorporating XSolla into your game, players will be able to make purchases seamlessly within the game environment, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience. Many developers opt for third-party payment systems like XSolla to maintain control over their in-game monetization and offer diverse payment options to players.
Rest assured, using XSolla for in-game purchases won’t hinder your game’s compatibility with the Epic Games Store. Just ensure compliance with the store’s guidelines and policies to have a successful release. Happy game development and best of luck with your game on the Epic Games Store! Thnx
