I come from a background in editing, where you have to relink files all the time. … So why is there no re-link feature in the Epic Games Launcher to the installation files for both games and also engine installs?
Why do you make it so we have to re download it? It’s a bit weird.
This often happens to me when I am working on multiple HDD’s. If I turn off my computer sometimes one drive might not reconnect right away, and Epic Games Launcher really breaks down here, when a drive is missing or slow to reconnect.
When I reconnect the drive, the existing files are never recognized by Epic Games Launcher, yet I can re-dowload them, but why cant I “reconnect” them in the Epic Games Launcher to the existing files on my HDD?
It’s really frustrating. And would seem like a simple thing to add.
Epic please allow us to re-link or re-target, games or engine versions, that are not being recognized by Epic Games Launcher, but are in known locations on local drives.
Re-dowloading the files can be a major chore, this would be a major quality of life update for me, as I go through this issue once every week or so.
Thanks for all the hard work it is really amazing software!
