Every time I try to open the Epic Games Launcher, it never gets past “please wait while we prepare your update”. This has been driving me nuts for forever, because all I want is to make a stupid nerf game. Nothing online has worked, since every fix in existence to this specific issue is for Windows. Please help, I really don’t want to have to use Unity.
I’ve the same issue on Windows, however, if you’ve got an Unreal Engine Installation just launch it and start your project using it !
What does that mean? I’m intrigued.
Just launch UE4Editor.exe and you can open your project even if you can’t access Epic Game Launcher application. Anyway I fixed this issue, it was because I blocked Epic Game Launcher connexion with a third party program (Killer Control Center)
