I am using Unreal Engine 4.8.2 and one of my team mate updated to 4.8.3 and checked in the level into the svn server. Now i cant use the level without upgrading to Unreal Engine 4.8.3. The Problem is, Epic Games Launcher gets struck at “Please wait” after i enter my login credentials… And hence i cannot update the Engine… Is it a launcher bug or a server issue?
Have a same problem from yesterday…

If nothing works, then follow the steps here to generate your Debug Logs and post them here, along with your Dxdiag (system specs).
Hi TJ, I am the other teammate who updated to 4.8.3. I am also having launcher issues. (Stuck at “Please wait…”)
I suspect it may be an update in the company’s firewall policy causing this issue. I have followed your steps and here is my debug log, can you please let me know what you can discern? Thanks.

This has now been fixed and we are happy for you to mark this as completed.
For anyone else wondering what happened, we had previously opened port 3478 and it was working, and then late last week (Friday?) we began having the Please Wait error.
We have just checked what port it is requesting on and now it uses port 5222, which we have opened.
If this was included in an Unreal Engine Launcher update, or some other such change of protocol, can it please be noted in patch notes? Thanks.
This did not fix the problem for me. What fixed the problem for me was doing an uninstall and reinstall of the downloader.
Ive got the same problem - I downloaded and tried to install the SHADOW COMPLEX game and it for some silly reason removed my EPIC GAMES LAUNCHER UNREAL ENGINE 4 installation which was at version 10 already - I went into panic mode and removed SHADOW COMPLEX EPIC GAMES LAUNCHER and tried to re-install UNREAL ENGINE 4 from the website via its EPIC GAMES LAUNCHER - but it keeps getting stuck at PLEASE WAIT…
Can you help resolve this please?

Now i have try something other. Now i have click on “create new account” in the Launcher and it seems that it loads, but also nothing happen. It loads and loads and loads… I get no Errors, nothing, it only loads and loads and loads…

Based on your logs, I do not see the “-http=wininet” in your target line. Could you please follow the steps outlined here to see if that resolves your issue?
