How do I download Unreal Engine 5 on macOS? I keep trying the typical installation process. Go to the website, hit download, get the Epic Games launcher, open and drag it into the Applications folder, and select it from the applications tab, same as every other software I’ve ever downloaded. Sometimes it’ll boot up in a few seconds, but after the small boot-up screen, absolutely nothing happens. No menu, just staring blankly at my wallpaper. It can only be closed by force quitting the application. I use an M1 Macbook Air(I know, I know, not exactly peak gaming or processing, but the specs still check out fine regardless, so spare me the sermon). I use other 3d and video editing software on my laptop with close to zero problems, processing or otherwise, and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. It’s driving me bonkers. All software is up to date.
Take a look if there’s still a version of the launcher running in the background ( look at running tasks ), and kill it. Then start the application.
There’s not. It simply won’t work.

What version of macOS are you using? It may be that you need to run UE4 if your OS version is too old. Here are the software and hardware requirements for UE5 (you will need to select the apple tag:
Any additional info or specifics you can provide can go a long way in solving your problem.
Hello, did you manage to solve the problem and how? Faced the same difficulties, the Launcher goes into a cyclic update check or does not start at all, but sometimes it gives an error.
