So, i downloaded epic games launcher today, because of fortnite. (Wanted to give it a try.)
The installation was successfull, then it updates.
It updates successfull, but then, when i try to launch it, it wont open up.
Please help.
Double check first of all to see if it is already running. First check the system tray on the taskbar for the icon, it may be hiding in the extended tray (press the small up arrow to open). Here’s what it should look like:

Didn’t work, nothing is popping up.
Right click on your taskbar and select Task Manager, do you see it in the list? You might need to expand it to the full view in order to see all applications.
If it’s not there please provide us some details on your computer system. The easiest way is to provide us with a DxDialog report. To create it click start and type dxdiag then press enter, then click the Save All Information button which will output a text file, save it to your PC and then attach a copy of it to your post using the small paperclip button above the textbox when you return here to post a reply.
When i try to upload something here, it says, “This attachment is not permitted because the file type is invalid.”
Oh, well that’s unfortunate…
Open up the file with notepad and copy/paste the text to pastebin then click Create New Paste and copy/paste the URL from the page that loads here instead.
Here you go.
Your computer appears to be below the minimum requirements. Even if the launcher could run you would experience major issues playing Fortnite on it, the system requirements for Fortnite are:
Minimum System Requirements
Operating System Windows 7/8/10 64-bit or Mac OSX Sierra*
Processor Core i3 2.4 Ghz
Memory 4 GB RAM
Video Card Intel HD 4000
Recommended System Specifications
Operating System Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
Processor Core i5 2.8 Ghz
Memory 8 GB RAM
Video Card Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 equivalent DX11 GPU
Video Memory 2 GB VRAM
Your CPU is a Celeron with 4 cores, but only has a clock speed of 1.1ghz while the minimum requirements list a 2.4ghz CPU. The built in graphics on that CPU (Intel HD 500) is well below the minimum of a HD 4000 Intel HD graphics chip and is simply not powerful enough to run either of the programs unfortunately.
You should look into getting a second video card for that laptop if it can be upgraded, pretty much anything recent made by AMD or Nvidia will be able to run the launcher & Fortnite. Your CPU is a little bit below minimum specs but with a decent enough GPU you should be able to play at a decent frame rate.
Sorry for the bad news
Alright, but thanks for helping.
