Epic Games Launcher download request failed

Hello,
I got an error code IV-CMD-DREQ (download request failed) after trying to create a new project with the Slay Animation Template using the Epic Game Launcher.
I have UE5.0.3 installed and 774GB of free space on the target SSD.
I have cleaned Epic Games Launcher’s webcache but it did not solved the issue.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

slay was made with 5.0 and has not been upgraded to 5.1
neither have the city samples been updated yet, or the temple of ancients.
so to install it you need to have 5 or 5.0.3 installed beside 5.1
and after installing you will need to convert it
and
it might not run properly, the blueprints might break in 5.1

Thank you for your reply but as it’s written above, I am trying to create a project for
UE 5.0.3.
But I have the error message above : IV-CMD-DREQ (download request failed)
Maybe it is not compatible with UE 5.0.3 even though it’s mentioned in the Epic Games Launcher Library Vault that this project is compatible with ::

  • Unreal Engine 5.1
  • Unreal Engine 5.0
  • Unreal Engine 4.27 ?

I don’t know.

I just tried it and had the same message
I am able to install it for 5.1 and 4.27 but not 5.03
I am fine with 5.1 but thought I’d give you feedback that 5.03 didn’t install the project with the same msg.

Thank you for your message.
I did the same try and it worked with 5.1.
But I need it to work with UE5.0.3 to use the Nuke Bridge plugin that works with UE5 but not UE5.1.
Thanks for your feedback

well
you could install 4.27
install the project
then convert the proj to 5.03
you can convert up but not down.

Yes you are right and I know I can convert but I wanted to forget about UE4.27 entirely.
I guess I don’t have much of a choice
Thank you,

I still have 4.27 and 5.03 installed until things are fully migrated
there are some projects and packs that just won’t convert or break
the city sample is still 5.03 and won’t load in 5.1
a lot of level bp’s break.

I also received this error when tryin to create a free demo project ( DMX Previs Sample) from the Market Place. It is indicated Windows, Version 4.26-4.27, 5.0-5.1.

Currently I have 4.26 and 5.1 engines installed. But the Error Code: IV-CMD-DREQ appears when trying to “Create Project”.

Any Ideas?.. Seems as though the 5.1 install is not recognized by the Epic Laucher.

Thanx in Advance!

Hello,
I guess you should maybe try to install UE4.27 and try to convert that project to UE5.1 ?
If you can download it.
Please read the conversation I had previously with Chris, we talked about a solution but for a specific project. Maybe it will work for the DMX Previs Sample).
Let us know if it works for you.
Cheers !
