Epic Games Launcher crashes

I have been digging around for an answer and nothing has yielded a result. After multiple clean re-installs problem persists. However, I have noticed that in most recent log (before a complete re-install), it just suddenly stops mid way. Also my most recent log only recorded one line “[0708/092308:ERROR:child_process_launcher.cc(479)] Failed to launch child process”

crashes began after I provided administrator rights after updating launcher (it requested admin privileges to update outdated shortcuts), now after each re-install, it allows me to sing in, it opens main window, if I click Unreal Engine tab it crashes, or even after a while it just closes down. After that, launcher only displays logging in window with “please wait” message and instantly crashes. No logs. Windows reports it just as a “stopped working” event.

I was planning on starting a new project, but am I’m unable of even downloading editor.
