Epic Game Launcher downloading loop

hello
when I start epic game launcher its downloading then verifying then complete 100% after that start to downloading again verifying then complete 100% in infinity loop , I tried everything below:

  • Close and restart the launcher and may computer and wait 15min before tray again hundred times
  • Am not behind a proxy
  • Am not behind a firewall ( I turned it off )
  • Try switching My DNS Server
  • The shared documents is Read/Write and applied to enclosed items

My Device information

OS X Version 10.11.4 -
Mac Mini 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 -
Memory 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3 -
Graphics Card inlet HD Graphics 4000 1536MB -

Same here. Download loop forever by OSX 10.11.4 and the answer below nor the link aren’t help much. Need some help on this.

Did everything mentioned but no luck at all.

I’m also experiencing the same issue. I emailed Epic a few days ago but I haven’t gotten any reply.

“Thanks for contacting Epic Games Player Support. I am sorry to say that at this time Paragon is not available on the Mac platform. We may add support for the Mac in the future, but we do not have any official definitive information at this time.
The best thing that I can recommend is to keep an eye on the forums, as the most up to date information will be posted on there.”


I don’t quite understand why it related to Paragon. I just want to install UE4 on my Mac which UE specially mentioned it is supporting PC AND MAC. I don’t think the email helped anything.

Please reply to the email informing them that the problem is not with Paragon but with UE4. They will be able to assist you further.

EDIT: I have spoken with Player Support, they are re-opening your case and one of our tech specialists will be responding shortly.

hello, thank you for reply , here is the update ( am just reply email to Epic game support and still no chance with previous solutions and now am waiting the reply from the developers to solve this issue after I send my full logs )

After reverted the debug log to the support team on 11/May, their only reply was thanked me on 12/May and never heard of them again. This is very disappointing especially the problem remains.

I checked in with the Player Support team. They are updating your ticket with new information now. The bug for your specific error is OPP-5620. This bug is still under assessment by the development staff. In general a ticket will only be updated if additional information can be provided, which is why you have not heard anything in a while. Once more information is available, the ticket will be updated to reflect this.

I know it is months later but for those who stumble upon this I have found a workaround for Mac users (PC can try it too though).

  1. Create a new user for your computer
  2. Sign in to Epic Games website and download the Epic Games Launcher / Installer
  3. Download preferred game (for me it was Fortnite)
  4. SAVE EVERYTHING TO A FLASHDRIVE if you would like to play on your normal user… if not you just have to log in to the other user every time you want to play

Hope this will help, it has been working for me very nicely. I used to switch my Mac over to PC through Bootcamp to play and that was just annoying. Good Luck!!

Where is this email us button, and do you happen to now how quickly they respond?

i have the same issues and its been more than 2 weeks and still no answer from the support team… other games download just not hogwarts legacy…

since i have the same issue and ive been waiting an answer from epic for 3 weeks i decided to post on the WB website bug. (since my issue was with hogwarts legacy) . maybe try to contact the support from the game tech itself since epic game has a bad response time.
