We have a Speed Tree library of vegetation, textures, and rocks already produced for our prototype game. Moving into Alpha now, you will grow and manage that library to design unique areas for our game. Concept artists will come up with the look and feel of each area. The level designers are already in the process of building out, those island structures. You will populate these new outdoor territories with game assets in Unreal Engine 4.

From the approved concepts, our 3D modelers will create unique assets for each outdoor location, unique plants, rocks, grasses, castles, villages, and fortresses, and you will place objects in UE4 according to the design. You have a love and passion for working to create environments that players can experience in awe. You understand how to blend areas seamlessly into an open-world in UE4. You are experienced in working with Photoshop, Speedtree, audio, 3D and Substance assets. Always keeping those files highly-organized. You will be skilled in using a blend of real-world textures, and photoreal Substances.

Our game is an open-world FPS with RPG-elements. You will learn and/or understand texture and level streaming, Mip-Map distance bias, particle LOD’s, proper LOD use, and texture tiling by distance (as examples). This is so that we can make memorable areas, that focuses players, while also allowing them to explore anywhere and find all of the beautiful detail that we build together, having it perform well.

From our concepts, we have professional map-makers (Cartographers) design the layout of our ‘RPG type’ maps. Then we build out memorable outdoor environments for our ‘multiplayer, outdoor-arena’ games. Our design allows for wide open 3D gameplay that is truly thrilling to experience. Like a rollercoaster ride off the rails, we put the players in control, and they create their own ‘ride’ over and in the terrain shapes. You will keep this ‘fun’ in mind as you develop our expanding high-fantasy environments.
You will work remotely. You will track your time. You set forward your fair hourly wage and currency of choice. You will begin at least part-time so we can name you as our Environmental Artist and show your work in our live broadcast videos. You will go full time up to 40-to-50 hours a week once we are funded (already confirmed, this will be any day now). IMU Studios is seeking an Environment Artist for Contract work. It begins as royalty to set up the team, you’ll be paid that first period of time from the App cash-flow, at funding this becomes full-time paid work.

We are a dedicated team of professionals. We’ve got a playable prototype and now we need to grow the team to hit our Alpha milestones regularly, while our Business Advisor and our Executive Producer bring in the funding they have sourced.

We also need 3D Modelers and Programmers to expand the team, so apply as well!
