Environment Creation and 3d character support

I am looking for an artist, or artist for a paid contract job. What I am looking for right now are contacts of persons interested as well as any rough pricing information I can gather.

The work required is still a little fuzzy as we are just putting together the requirements and determining what we want to spend. This is a paid project though, have no fear. This could also lead to further projects. I am a designer and I know some of what is needed, but I will need to speak with the artists to find out exactly what we need to get the desired result.

Possible needs:

  • 3d vignette environments - all highly realistic. These will be small “stages” for a 3d character to move around in. Can be single room interiors or outdoor facades that will look good with a fixed camera. Again they need to be as realistic as possible. The realistic rendering project that epic created is similar to what we are looking for.
  • 3d Character Support - We be adding premade 3d characters to these environments. They will need to look like they belong. Do they need to be lit for the scene?
  • Character animation - it is possible we will need some simple animations for these characters.
  • Character Import Script - we will need a script created that will automate the importing of the 3d character from 3dsMax into the scene with all of the proper material and animation mapping. We know how to do this manually, but we need something faster so it can be done “on the fly”

As I said, what is required is a little fuzzy, but we will clarify requirements very soon. For now, if you are interested, please let me know so we can move forward. If you have standard rates, please include those. We have thousands to spend on this, we just need to find the right people.

Do you have any stylistic examples you’re going for? I mean, are we talking true photorealistic or just “don’t drop into the uncanny valley” realistic? Similarly, when we talk about animations are we talking about mo-cap or just “make it not look like a robot”

Sounds interesting enough at any rate!
