EntityEnteredEvent: Best way to identify which player triggered the event?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with the Scene Graph feature in Verse and using EntityEnteredEvent on a mesh entity.

When EntityEnteredEvent fires, it notifies that an entity entered the volume, but it doesn’t directly pass the specific player or fort_character context in the callback payload.

Right now, my workaround inside the event handler is to iterate through all active players and find the closest one to the entity’s transform.

While this works in simple scenarios, it’s not ideal for edge cases (e.g., multiple players standing close togetherłl or fast-moving players).

Is there a cleaner, more direct, or more reliable way in Verse / Scene Graph to get the exact player or agent that triggered an EntityEnteredEvent, without relying on proximity/distance calculations?

Thanks in advance for any insights or recommended patterns!

Hello, I believe this post is what you need: Casting Entity to Player or Agent Fails - General / Issues and Bug Reporting - Epic Developer Community Forums
In there the solution is a for loop and casting but now maybe with GetComponent[fort_character] on the entity or with a first loop you can reduce boiler plate and check easier the result for players. If you need more context of the code let me know.
Cheers

Thanks @Abrizzer! This solved my issue, I really appreciate the help.
