I’m really sorry in reading this! As EvilCleric says, take 5 minutes at the end of the day to backup your work. Im talking from personal experience back in my past. 
I know that sometimes it is not possible but at least you can have a backup of a couple of day before and you’ve just lost 1 or 2 days instead than a week or more.
Anyway, be strong and keet it up, next work will be better, trust me!
