Entangled Forest | Artificial Life Simulation (UNREAL ENGINE 4.27)

Hi everyone! hope you are all having a great weekend!

I am really excited to share my first large-ish project created in Unreal Engine(4.27)!
I am relatively new to 3D modelling and game engines, I really wanted to dive into the Unreal Engine workflow and learn as much as possible.

Entangled Forest is an artificial life simulation that takes the form of a wide-screen installation projection documenting the lives of anthropomorphic raccoon tribes in a post-post-apocalyptic artificial ecosystem modelled after Toronto suburbs. The generative documentary hopes to capture in real-time how archetypal characters and tribes interact with each other and respond to transformative events and the roles they fulfill in society. The worldbuilding elements such as characters and environments draw inspiration from the role of mycorrhizal fungi in nature as redistributors of resources and emergent internet culture. The art direction of Entangled Forest is inspired by surrealist illustrations of Jean Giraud (Moebius) and Studio Ghibli movies.

I hope you like it!

Hi there @jonsil94,

Welcome to the Unreal Engine community forums. Hope you’re having a great week so far!

This art style is definitely one of my favorites. So dreamy and ethereal(If that’s the right word?) and every time I see it I can’t help but to get excited. Especially if it’s in a game setting where exploration is important.

Thank you so much for sharing and letting us see this beautiful world you’ve created. Hope to see more!
