To get more information about the crash you must install debugging symbols. In launcher select engine version → options and enable Editor symbols for debugging.
I noticed you’re on a mac - make sure that xcode is up to date.

I was wondering if I could ask for some help. I have this exact problem - and if his problem is the same, it won’t get pass installing to open the launcher, it just crashes.
I’ve been doing a lot of research but this is the first time I’ve ever downloaded Unreal Engine. I’m trying to get Fortnite on my computer but it keeps crashing when it tries to install. Everything I’ve read about installing debugging symbols requires Unreal Engine to be installed - but I can’t even get that far because it crashed by the time it says “verifying update”. I looked into xcode and I know nothing about that. I’ve been trying to find a code to fix it, but without being able to download Unreal Engine to get the debugging symbols, I’m at a loss at what to do.
What do I do?
