Engine capped at 60 fps when laptop plugged in

Somehow the whole editor is capped at 60 fps when my laptop is plugged in, and when I take the charger off it uncaps.
What can I do to uncap the frames?

The refresh rate doesn’t change when unplugging, nor the graphics card. Nvidia Panel has all settings by default.

Maybe your battery is causing some electrical impedance. Notice how the pc is getting less wattage when plugged in.

If the battery is in some way damaged or causing the current to do more work, the final product is heat, and the pc may be getting less power.

Is your battery removable? If so try taking the battery out and plugging the laptop in and see if performance returns to normal.

The pc gets less wattage because the gpu usage is lower. And no, battery is not removable
Also I noticed that alt tabbing uncaps the frames again and solves the issue, sometimes, so its weird.
If there’s not a conflicting setting in the engine, I’ll close the thread, as it may be my pc or my OS settings.

Perhaps some other program is stealing the engines focus when it’s plugged in? Some sort of power manager or something. You can try turning off “Use less CPU when in Background” and see if it helps.
