Engine bug

Hi,

What better than showing you the problem. http://1drv.ms/1pBEb90
I just want to change the sides count of the cylinder so I can see what my carved wall looks like but as soon as I change sides, the cylinder rotates. This isn’t right !

I can confirm that this is really annoying

Hmm, that’s because it’s re-initializing/re-creating the brush when you change the settings. I think that’s just the way it works. The same happens when you modify stairs for example.

I can see how it’s annoying though, as a temporary workaround you could rotate the other object so it’s flat, then when you have the correct setting rotate them both back up?

So this is temporary ?

It’s a known problem and you cant really do anything against it (except of the suggestion from TheJamsh)-> so change the settings before you rotate and scale it

I feel like a guy you want something which the calculation is already there but the lazy pattern for doing just the right thing to get it right is not there. Is my English that bad ?

I have no idea what you are saying in that first sentence but here it goes. Check out the second AnswerHub link fighter gave you:
