Hi wmbuRn,

Thanks for providing your system specs and callstack. In order to isolate this problem, we also need the following crash logs:

The UE4.log (Located: ~/Library/Logs/Unreal Engine/Editor/)

The ProjectName.log (Located: ~/Library/Logs/Unreal Engine/ProjectNameEditor/)

I’m having the same issues on OSX 10.10.1.

My machine is:

  • (17-inch, Early 2009),
  • Processor: 2.93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo,
  • Memory: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3,
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB

Log files: UE4 crash log · GitHub

This was just creating the sample top-down blueprint project, pressing play, moving a bit, pressing stop and changing view direction a few times.

I have used the logs provided to generate the following crash report: Jira [UE-6716]. If a bug is identified and a fixed, an update will be added to this post.

Thank you for providing feedback and documentation to help isolate the problem.

FYI I just tested on 4.6.1 and the issue is still there.
Will it be helpful to upload another set of logs from 4.6.1 crash, or is the data I gave enough for now?

Hi ,

The developers have requested information on what was happening with a specific crash and the corresponding logs to that specific crash. So if you remember what you were doing when the engine crashed that corresponds to the logs you have already sent, you can just provide that information.

Thanks for your help so far.

, your crash should be fixed in 4.7 as it is most likely related to OpenGL 3.3 under OS X not supporting volume texture rendering and we had a bug in 4.6 where we’d still try to use that feature even though it doesn’t work on that GPU.

wmbuRn, your crash is still outstanding, but it has been logged as [UE-7158].
