Enemy 'hit' animation seems to put it in a ragdoll state?

When i attack my enemy, it plays an anim montage of a hit reaction. However, it seems to go ragdoll while it’s in that animation state, before returning to running after the player. Also is there any way to lock the animation to a plane, so it doesnt jump around so much?

Adding an additional problem… my sword seems to damage enemy even when I am not swinging. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
