Attached is a material Blueprint for a simple red and blue emissive material. Works great. Is it possible to also make this material translucent so that a light could shine thru it?
Or do I need to ‘fake’ the transmitted light with a separate light?
Sure. I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t let you. Try going to the main details panel and selecting translucent blend mode and unlit shader model. Then just plug a scalar into the opacity to decide how see-through you want it to be.
